PART-TIME “ASSISTANT INSTRUCTORS” - AQUATICS
To be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following minimum qualifications:
- Lifesaving Assistant Water Safety Instructor Certificate,
- Bronze Cross Certificate or National Lifeguard
- Standard First Aid and CPR-C
- excellent physical condition,
- ability to pleasantly deal with the public
Duties:
1) Assists in the instruction Lifesaving Society Swim programs (Preschool, Parent and tot, Youth and Adult) programs,
2) Assists the Instructor as directed, performing duties, such as, but not limited to:
i. Assist the instructor in the delivery of swim lessons
ii. assists in evaluating candidates,
iii. Assists with questions/concerns from parents.
3) Qualifications must remain current at all times (within two years of certification date)
4) Performs other duties as assigned from time to time.
5) Help with the set up deck and pool prior to Instruction periods and clean up after.
Salary rate is $14.79 - $17.37 per hour as per Schedule "A" of the collective agreement. Hours of work not to exceed forty-eight (48) hours in a two week period in accordance with the C.U.P.E., Local 1146 - Inside/Part-time Unit collective agreement.
