Temporary Casual Recreation Program Supervisor



To be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • Minimum of attending University or college in related field
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions and be physically able to perform duties.
  • Must have Standard First Aid and CPR-C Certification
  • Must have or willing to get Principles of health child development certificate
  • Must have or willing to get Safeguard Certification
  • Must have Class G2 Ontario Driver’s License in good standing and access to a vehicle
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with children in a camp and/or youth program area
  • Experience supervising staff an asset
  • Must be available all of the following days:
    • Sept 27, Oct 25, Nov 15, Dec 23, Dec 27, Dec 30, Jan 2, Jan 3, Jan 24, Mar 6, Mar 16-20, Jun 5, Jun 26


  1. Responsible and accountable  for the direct supervision of program staff
  2. Maintain City of Woodstock Policy and Procedures
  3. The development  and implementation appropriate programs
  4. Responsible for the  monitoring of program staff
  5. Responsible for booking and planning all activities
  6. Must ensure Program Quality and expectation are met
  7. Responsible for coordinating transportation for all camp programs
  8. Responsible for the direct program delivery at program sites 
  9. Responsible for the direct supervision of program participants 



Salary rate is $16.77 per hour as per Schedule “A” of the collective agreement. Scheduled for 8-8.5 hour shifts for PA days or 24 - 40 hour work weeks for Holiday and March break camps which may include weekends and alternate shift hours.  Will be required to work in adverse weather conditions.  May be required to work overtime.
